We had a teaser for Toy Story 3 but no short. Like I said though, the entire screen went green for a good 15 minutes after all the previews and they had to reset things. I'm pretty sure that's why I was deprived the short. Of course that's no excuse for why you missed out on the teaser. I think that the theaters just need to get on the same page. "Up" was wonderfully delightful and masterfully pulled together all the seemingly random elements depicted in the trailer. I was incredibly pleased by the surprising results, which, at least to me, resembled an enjoyable adventure serial from the early days of film. And rejoice, the Pixar short is still among us! I'm not sure why your theater was deprived, but we had one prior to our showing true to Pixar form! I was a bit disappointed with this short, in honesty, and I feel it didn't carry nearly as much of a story as their other shorts have upheld. But at any rate, the tradition continues to be held! What I want to know is why, starting with "WALL-E", Pixar has failed to show the teaser for their upcoming feature prior to each theatrical release. This too has been a tradition for Pixar that I believe dates back to "A Bug's Life". Alas, such a shame. I would deem myself a fan of what is now being classified 'classic' SG1. I really do not like the Cameron Mitchell character he just comes across as too much of a try hard, he wants to be Jack. They should have come up with a new character rather than try to carry on Jack's personality with another person. Now, I have seen 'Continuum' (got a sneek peek preview at a convention) and whist it is far better than 'Ark of Truth', in which I wanted to run away and hide, and without spoilering anyone, I was thoroughly disappointed. In my opinion these movies are exactly where they belong, AFTER season 8! Where, to me, nothing exists. It is a shame that they had to try so hard to produce such mediocre movies in an attempt to finish the series, but eh what can you do but pretend they don’t exist and watch re-runs of 'the good old days' lol Anyway that’s my two-cents worth.
